🌿 Join Me for a 14-Day Intermittent Fast: Your Daily Guide to Feeling Empowered

Hey friends,

I’m inviting you to join me for a 14-day intermittent fast—not just for the physical reset, but for the clarity, intention, and community it brings. Whether you’re new to fasting or just need a little structure, I’ve created a simple visual guide to show what a day can look like when you fast with care.

Here’s the rhythm I follow:

🛌 Wake Up: Start your day gently. Stretch, breathe, set an intention.
☕ Black Coffee or Tea: No cream, no sugar—just warmth and focus.
🥗 Eat Well: When it’s time to break your fast, choose whole, nourishing foods.
🍓 Fruits & Veggies: Load up on vibrant, healing produce.
💧 Hydrate: Water is your best friend—sip it all day long.
🏃‍♀️ Stay Active: Move your body in ways that feel good.
🧠 Stay Sharp: Fasting can boost mental clarity—lean into it.
😴 Get Your Rest: Sleep is part of the healing. Don’t skip it.

This isn’t about restriction—it’s about ritual. About choosing yourself, every day.

If this speaks to you, I’d love for you to join me. Let’s support each other, share wins, and stay accountable. I’ll be posting updates, tips, and reflections on my social media—so make sure to subscribe and follow along:

The 14-Day Fast That Changed Everything; Starting again this September—join me.

I’m not a doctor, just a woman who’s found something that actually works. This 14-day fast isn’t a trendy cleanse or a slow taper—it’s a reset. You will have a window in the day where you eat and the other hours you fast. But when you do eat, you make better choices.

No dairy—especially not in your coffee. No bread. No white potatoes. Instead, lean meats, colorful fruits and veggies, and ideally more raw than cooked. Your body knows what to do when you give it the right fuel.

I lost 15 pounds in two weeks by sticking to this. But more than that, I gained clarity, discipline, and a deeper connection to myself. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.

I’m starting again this September, and I’d love for you to join me. Men and women welcome. Check with your doctor if needed—this is your journey.

🍋 Meet My Edible Entourage: Fun Plant Names from My Kitchen Garden

I’m no botanist—but I am a cook with a soft spot for anything green, growing, and full of potential. Lately, I’ve been giving my plants names that make me smile every time I water them. It’s part ritual, part inside joke, and all love.

I made a little video introducing a few of my leafy companions, and you can check it out on my Facebbook Klohee’s Kitchen —where I share recipes, food musings, and the occasional garden update.

🌿 The Cast of Characters

  • Lemon Tree → Margarita
She’s elegant, a little dramatic, and always ready to brighten a dish.
  • Mango → Mangonada
Regal, tropical, and slightly mysterious. I imagine him wearing a monocle.
  • Bell Peppers → Isaac
Red, yellow, and green—each with her own flair. They gossip in the sun.
  • Cucumbers → Fred
Laid-back, crisp, and always chill. They’re the spa day of my garden.

🌱 Why I Name My Plants

It’s not about expertise—it’s about connection. Naming them makes me notice their growth, their quirks, and their personalities. It turns gardening into storytelling. And for someone who lives and breathes food, it’s a way to honor the journey from soil to plate.

If you’ve ever named a sourdough starter or whispered encouragement to your basil, you get it.

Come meet the gang in motion! I’ve shared a short video on my Facebook page Klohee’s Kitchen —drop by, say hi, and tell me what you’d name your own edible plants.

Have You Ever Caught Thus While Fishing?

Lamprey

I’m an adult female who’s been fishing for let’s just say 20 years, and I have never come across this while fishing. I’m use to water snakes but this, no, not ever. If you also never know these things exist, it’s called a Lamprey. It’s similar to what we know to be a leech, but from the looks of it, could be worse.

Alex RuddFishing got to experience this lamprey while out enjoying a nice fishing day. When he pulled in what he thought was a simple catch, attached and sucking life from his fish, was this lamprey.

My Daily Drop Routine: Soursop, Oregano & Mullein Leaf

For me, wellness is simple. Plant-powered, and easy to integrate into my day. These three liquid supplements are my go-to ritual for feeling strong, clear, and supported—just a few drops in water or tea, and I’m ready for the day.

💧 Soursop Drops
Antioxidant-rich and immune-supportive, soursop helps me stay balanced and energized. I add it to my morning water for a gentle boost that feels grounding and restorative.

💧 Oil of Oregano Drops
This is my natural defense system. Known for its antibacterial and antiviral properties, oregano oil helps me fight off colds, soothe digestion, and stay resilient. I use it when I feel run down—or just want to stay ahead of the curve.

💧 Mullein Leaf Oil Drops
My lungs love this one. Mullein is known for supporting respiratory health and easing inflammation. I take it when the air feels heavy or I want to breathe a little easier. Good for any hookah smokers

I’ve curated my favorite versions in my Amazon shop—clean, potent, and easy to use.

Lurking At The Grocery Store

Have you ever went to the grocery store to buy fresh meat from behind the counter? Probably so, right? Well besides the price have you ever read the information on the meat you’re looking to purchase? Maybe not? You’re not the only one. For years I was this person. Trusting without thinking. I decided to take a trip to the grocery store. Below I’ve provided the video I captured.

Supplements That Slay: My Plant Based Picks

🌿 Oil of Oregano

  • What it is: A potent herbal extract known for its high concentration of carvacrol, a powerful antimicrobial compound.
  • Why it slays: Fights off bacteria, viruses, and fungi; often used to support immunity, gut health, and respiratory clarity.
  • How I use it: A few drops under the tongue or diluted in water when I feel a cold coming on—it’s spicy, and you won’t need much. Just a few drops would be enough to start.

🍈 Soursop (Graviola)

  • What it is: A tropical fruit with antioxidant-rich leaves and pulp, traditionally used in herbal medicine.
  • Why it slays: Believed to support cellular health, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation—some even explore its anticancer potential.
  • How I use it: Liquid drops as part of my weekly wellness ritual, especially when I need a reset.

🍃 Mullein Leaf

  • What it is: A fuzzy-leafed plant known for its soothing effects on the lungs and respiratory system.
  • Why it slays: Acts as a natural expectorant, helping clear mucus and ease breathing—especially during allergy season or smoky days.
  • How I use it: I prefer in tincture form when my chest feels tight or I get that scratchy throat. More often, just drops in water.

What TF To Eat

What are you passionate about?

Not vegan. Not vegetarian. Don’t want to eat regular. What can I do?

Navigating the world of food choices can be overwhelming, especially when you’re a foodie. With fake and ultra processed foods dominating more than 70% of any local grocery store, many of us are left concerned with ‘what the hell do I eat?’ Join me by continuing to read how I discovered relating to being a Flexitarian by redefining what my relationship with food looks like. I uncovered the truth behind what’s on our plates and finding a balanced path that doesn’t fit neatly into anyone popular category.

Do you ever find yourself wanting to tone up and not being able to rid those rolls in the back? Have you ever wanted to eat better and purchased a healthy snack bar then found out it’s filled with unhealthy sugars? Have you ever heard the conversation of the older generation in a healthcare setting? If you’ve answered yes to any of this it’s wise to keep reading.

I’ve found it hard to accept the fact that we live in a country where money is more valuable than life. It’s hard to accept the same people who are pro life, are willing to impact those people (men & women) whom would create life. Our weight is a constant reminder on tv, social media, movies, and even the music we listen to. It’s a constant thought that lives in our subconscious but only emerges around the holidays. I struggled with eating bad all day. Although I wanted to do better, I wasn’t willing to just be vegan or vegetarian. I haven’t got there just yet, but I’m on my way to something different.

A few years ago, oblivious to myself, I began to redefine my relationship with food. Sparked by curiosity and desire for better health, I decided I wanted and needed change. Initially, I misunderstood fasting, thinking it was only about abstaining from habits like cursing or eating fried chicken. But as I delved deeper, I discovered the power of intermittent fasting and adopted new dietary practices. Cutting out some meats, processed sugars, and focusing on lean meats/protein with more fruits and vegetables has transformed my life.

For me and many others, the word ‘no’ isn’t often liked. It’s frowned upon. However, I had to be real with myself and capable to tell my own self no. No to overeating, no to processed foods, no to eating out often, no to my favorite candies, and much more. I figured if I didn’t want to have health problems in the future, I’d better start telling myself no.

My journey wasn’t east. Cravings, irritability, and kids walking up to you with their potato chips ~ I WAS TESTED. Over time I found comfort in the process, and it reshaped my mind. I now had discipline and awareness. I felt like I had just discovered life’s hidden treasure. My biggest wake up was seeing my grandmother go from vibrant and full of life to not moving as she once did. I’m a true believer that healthcare starts in the kitchen, not the hospital.

Today, I balance fasting with mindful indulgences, prioritizing fruits and veggies, while being fully aware of what I’m consuming and how it impacts my body. I came upon a 2 Week Fast that was so different than anything I had ever done before. The eating options were so good. It was a challenge but why not when it’s me against me?

I challenge you to change something, anything, about your eating habits. Don’t look at it as a diet ~ just cut certain things out or reduce them. Get active, become a kid again. As scary as it may seem, sometimes you just have to know that YOU’RE WORTH IT.

Are your current eating habits truly serving your well-being? What small change today could lead to a healthier tomorrow? Ready to invest in a better version of yourself? Let’s journey together—subscribe for exclusive insights and get the 2 Week Fasting Guideline! How does that vibe with you?
