Forks & Feelings

Cooking, for me, has always been about more than just food. It’s about creating experiences — the laughter around a table, the comfort of a shared dish, the surprise of a cocktail that tastes like sunshine. Every recipe I share carries a little piece of that joy, and this season I’ve been experimenting with four creations that feel like my signature: bold, playful, and deeply flavorful.

Two dishes, two cocktails — each dish brought to life with my all-purpose seasoning, The Blend. It’s the secret that ties everything together, adding depth and balance whether I’m stirring a dip or shaking a drink.

✨ Seafood Dip
Creamy, indulgent, and layered with flavor. This dip is the kind of dish that disappears fast at any gathering. The Blend adds just the right kick, cutting through richness with a whisper of heat.

🦐 Garlic Prawns
Sizzling prawns, garlic perfuming the air, and that golden finish that makes you want to grab a fork immediately. My seasoning elevates the natural sweetness of the prawns, turning a simple recipe into a showstopper.

🍑 Peach Whiskey Lemonade
Sweet peaches, tart lemonade, and the warmth of whiskey — this cocktail is sunshine in a glass. It’s the kind of drink that makes you slow down, savor, and smile.

🥥 Hawaiian Volcano
Bright citrus meets creamy coconut, a pairing that feels tropical yet comforting. It’s a sip that transports you, whether you’re at a backyard gathering or winding down after a long day.

Each recipe is more than just food or drink — it’s a story, a mood, a way of connecting. And The Blend is at the heart of it all, a seasoning designed to work everywhere, giving you confidence to play and create.

✨Soulful Days✨

This weekend, I found myself drawn to the kitchen—not just to cook, but to create something that felt like home. I made a soulfood dish, rich with flavor and memory. The kind that speaks in spices and simmers with love. It wasn’t just about the ingredients; it was about honoring the roots, the rituals, and the resilience woven into every bite.

Soulfood is more than comfort. It’s culture. It’s connection. It’s the quiet joy of slow cooking and the bold truth of seasoning with heart. As I stirred, tasted, and plated, I felt a deep sense of gratitude—for the ancestors who passed down recipes without measurements, for the stories that live in cast iron skillets, and for the nourishment that goes beyond the physical.

This dish reminded me that wellness isn’t always green juice and supplements. Sometimes, it’s cornbread and turkey necks. It’s feeding the soul, not just the body. And when made with intention, even the most indulgent meal becomes a sacred ritual.

Here’s to soulful nourishment, imperfect progress, and meals that feel like a warm hug.

🧈 Rosemary Garlic Butter: A Simple Ritual of Flavor & Intention

There’s something sacred about crafting food with your own hands—especially when it’s infused with herbs, intention, and a little kitchen magic. This week, I made a batch of homemade rosemary garlic butter, and it turned out so divine I had to share the process with you.

🌿 Why rosemary and garlic?
Rosemary is grounding, aromatic, and known for its cleansing energy. Garlic brings warmth, depth, and that unmistakable savory kick. Together, they create a butter that’s not just delicious—it’s soulful.

✨ Watch the ritual unfold
I filmed the process so you can join me in the kitchen. From chopping fresh rosemary to blending the softened butter, every step is a little act of love.

🍞 Ways to use it

  • Spread it on warm sourdough or grainy toast
  • Melt it over roasted veggies or grilled mushrooms
  • Toss it with pasta or steamed rice for instant comfort
  • Use it as a base for sautéing—your kitchen will smell heavenly

💬 Let’s keep the flavor flowing
If this butter speaks to your soul, come hang out with me on other platforms where I share more food rituals, wellness truths, and behind-the-scenes moments.

Creamy Cajun Soup: My Cozy Go-To

There’s something magical about soup season—when the air shifts and all I crave is a warm, flavorful bowl that hugs me from the inside out. I’ve always loved soups for their comfort, versatility, and the way they bring people together around a table or a story.

One of my absolute favorites? This Creamy Cajun Soup. It’s hearty, soulful, and just the right amount of spicy. Packed with potatoes, veggies, and savory meat, it’s the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes after the first bite and say, “Mmm… yes.”

I filmed myself making it (with love and a few laughs), and you can watch the full video on my Instagram. If you want the full recipe—including the exact ingredients and my little flavor secrets—it’s available exclusively to my subscribers.

Letting Go Of The Word “Can’t”

If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

The one word that stops us in our tracks, the one that unintentionally makes us believe that something is impossible, the one that says you’ve given up. That word for me is “can’t “. This word simply should not exist in your vocabulary.

Not because it’s harsh or impolite—but because it’s limiting.
Can’t is the quiet thief of possibility. It whispers doubt, dims potential, and convinces us to shrink from the edge of growth.

Every time I’ve said “I can’t,” I’ve felt a part of me give up before I even tried.
But I’ve learned that most of the time, can’t isn’t truth—it’s fear dressed up as certainty. It’s me feeling tired or simply feeling as though something is too hard.

So I’m choosing to replace it with let me ponder that, not yet, or even let’s see.
Because the moment we stop saying can’t, we start making space for what could be. Saying the word “can’t” tells our subconscious to not even try simply because we’ve given up. It’s the party pooper for any entrepreneur, anyone looking to better themselves, complete a project, or simply just to step out on faith.

I used the word so frequently. However I was able to fight against what it was telling my subconscious by changing my vocabulary and taking natural organic supplements (made in the UK- and they don’t play around like the U.S.)to help stimulate my brain. Supplements That Slay

The 14-Day Fast That Changed Everything; Starting again this September—join me.

I’m not a doctor, just a woman who’s found something that actually works. This 14-day fast isn’t a trendy cleanse or a slow taper—it’s a reset. You will have a window in the day where you eat and the other hours you fast. But when you do eat, you make better choices.

No dairy—especially not in your coffee. No bread. No white potatoes. Instead, lean meats, colorful fruits and veggies, and ideally more raw than cooked. Your body knows what to do when you give it the right fuel.

I lost 15 pounds in two weeks by sticking to this. But more than that, I gained clarity, discipline, and a deeper connection to myself. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.

I’m starting again this September, and I’d love for you to join me. Men and women welcome. Check with your doctor if needed—this is your journey.

** Join me by subscribing to my socials (given below). I’ll be sharing updates, tips, and encouragement on [Facebook] and [Instagram].

Let’s reset together. Your body will thank you. Your mind will clear. Your spirit will rise.

🍋 Meet My Edible Entourage: Fun Plant Names from My Kitchen Garden

I’m no botanist—but I am a cook with a soft spot for anything green, growing, and full of potential. Lately, I’ve been giving my plants names that make me smile every time I water them. It’s part ritual, part inside joke, and all love.

I made a little video introducing a few of my leafy companions, and you can check it out on my Facebbook Klohee’s Kitchen —where I share recipes, food musings, and the occasional garden update.

🌿 The Cast of Characters

  • Lemon Tree → Margarita
She’s elegant, a little dramatic, and always ready to brighten a dish.
  • Mango → Mangonada
Regal, tropical, and slightly mysterious. I imagine him wearing a monocle.
  • Bell Peppers → Isaac
Red, yellow, and green—each with her own flair. They gossip in the sun.
  • Cucumbers → Fred
Laid-back, crisp, and always chill. They’re the spa day of my garden.

🌱 Why I Name My Plants

It’s not about expertise—it’s about connection. Naming them makes me notice their growth, their quirks, and their personalities. It turns gardening into storytelling. And for someone who lives and breathes food, it’s a way to honor the journey from soil to plate.

If you’ve ever named a sourdough starter or whispered encouragement to your basil, you get it.
