Date Night
My favorite thing to do is cook. I mean when I really am in the mood, drinks are flowing, music is playing, and my hips are moving! I mean that’s how you know the food will be good. I also love to eat. I mean who doesn’t love food. I think most would say we’re too in love with food. Who cares. When you’re eating with friends or your partner it makes things even better.
Over the weekend it was going to rain. A happy couple asked that I prep them a meal for date night. I took that role on. I had my mind set on how I wanted to set the table . Even better that they wanted seafood (which I just love). I grabbed many item from the dollar store, so this did not cost a lot to set up. I grabbed some small glass vases, white crystal pebbles, candles, table cloth, some glasses to drink out of, flowers, utensils, and napkins. I purchased the other dishes from Kroger’s.
This is the table before I placed everything

The fun part was making the drinks and the food. Let me give you the menu breakdown.
Quiet night in and you Want to avoid the crowds? Dinner for ✌🏾? I got you
The menu was 🔥
Deep dish Garlic Butter King Crab 🦀 topped white golf shrimp 🦐
Lemon baked Lobster over a bed of asparagus marinated in @allegromarinade
Jalapeño cream crab 🦀 mashed potatoes 🥔

This was so fun to make. The fragrance was unreal. I made everything to where the food all hit at the same time. The guest were in awe of it all.

Eating good isn’t boring. Look here!
From Corporate to Author!
Hi you guys. If you follow me or happened to stumble across my blog, thank you. I originally built this site so I could build a community that surrounded all things in the kitchen. The kitchen is where you create meals, have family discussions, drink with friends, celebrate, clean, dance, get happy, read mail, talk on the phone, and make so many memories. I also wanted the opportunity to share some of my recipes and get y’all hip to my taste buds also.

To take it back, I’ve always been fund of the kitchen and knew my way around it pretty good. However, one day I decided to get serious. I was working a 9-5 and was getting a new schedule and would have free time. I recall sitting at my desk and speaking to one of the girls about what I could do to build my own path filling in the new free time I’d have. Since I had already been making snacks for some there, like cookies and muffins, I figured I should stick to what I was good at, food. We decided that I should do a “LunchBox Wednesday “. This is where I would be able to get food orders for people I worked with, cook, and deliver to them.

LunchBox Wednesday had been a success. I grew to making deliveries to people outside the office. I was the chef, the photographer, the deliver, I took orders, I ran my own business Facebook and Instagram accounts, I handled the shopping, I mean I played every role. On Instagram I got feedback in response to the post about food. It was cool! I did this for a while , then I had an idea. I didn’t just want to be known in my city. I wanted others to try the foods I made as well. So I came up with the idea to make cookies. This way I could ship them. I did this and it grew a great audience. People were actually buying from me. Maybe I was thinking too far ahead without what some would call “success “, but to me it only gave me more faith to not limit my goals.

Things had been going good to say the least. I was happy as all get out about how I pushed and overcame many obstacles. I had the support of my family and friends. I then had another idea. I HAD TO GET LEGIT! I then got my LLC, I built a web page and loaded my products on my sites. ( http://www.KloheesKitchen.com) This helped me more than anything. I felt then people would take me serious if I was serious about my business. I still dealt with cooking meals in this time by delivering meal preps to DFW.
One day my friend spoke a challenge to me. She said… you have so much to offer. You should definitely make a cookbook, I know I’ll buy it. – unknown to her this got a spark in my tail. Thinking out again of reaching my audience I had grew, I knew if I did create one and just only sold to her, I would feel yet again accomplished. By setting this plan in motion I started on my way.
Creating a cookbook or any book is not as easy to implement as you think. I mean if you have the coins you could tell a good writer your thoughts and they could do it for you. However if you’re balling on a budget like I was you have to do it yourself and seek out Affordabale help. A book is not as simple as written words and putting pictures to it and loading it up. Did you know you need a freaking INTERIOR DESIGNER! Like what? Lol, yes amongst many others. I made a great connection while out delivering cookies at the radio station when I met Dee Porter. She was about to become an author herself and took on editing my book! So JUNE 5, 2021 I will be releasing my cookbook “Food Love “ ❤️. I hope that you decide to check it out. It’s my first book baby and I couldn’t be more proud of myself.

If I have to say anything I will say…. whatever your dreams are you can truly make it work for you. Even if you’re still trying to figure out what that dream is it will come. We all have a purpose in life and we all have talents. Never be afraid to learn, know when to speak and when to observe and learn, know that just because you know one way there are other ways. And never forget God is in control of it all 🙏🏽🙌🏽

Shower – Sink Magic Cleaner
If you go to your local Walmart and go down the cleaning aisle, you’ll see many different brands of cleaning solutions. Every one of them maybe have a commercial that you’ve seen which intrigued you to go out and even buy it. However if you’re like me, sometimes it’s hard to find the right product that cleans without damaging surfaces, changing the color, or even to simply clean. Sometimes we get to the store and think “there’s no way I’m paying this much for a cleaner”. If you agree to any of this keep reading.
I had not been on the search for anything to take away the scrub from the tub . I had however been seeing and hearing of this “magic cleaner” and just never seen the actual recipe for it. Well one day while on TikTok I found a headline called Magic cleaner. I figured I should screenshot it and maybe make it later. I had all the ingredients so there wasn’t a need to get out. Well days later I ended up trying it in my stand up shower. I really wanted to see how it would work on the glass door to the shower and go from there.
This product I managed to create had some time to settle down due to the bubbles created. It gave an result like an erupting volcano. When I used it it reminded me of AJAX powder. Like a small amount of grit but not to that extreme. I only noticed while cleaning. It rinsed right out. This solution worked so well though. The glass doors didn’t have that fog stain look to them and the shower itself was nice and shiny.
I liked the solution so well I took it to my kitchen. I sprayed it on top of the stove to get under the burners and clean old grease. I sprayed around the sink where the water dry from washing dishes. I even sprayed JUST A LITTLE in my dishwasher and ran it on a cycle. I loved the outcome so I wanted to share. I hope you find it as useful as I have. From my kitchen to yours!

Kale Salad with Cilantro Dressing Recipe
Have you ever made plans for dinner and lunch times comes, you’re hungry but don’t want to eat heavy? Well that’s exactly what happened to me today. I knew I needed to eat something so I wouldn’t feel the hunger pains. I also knew dinner plans would be drinks and lots of good food. Food that sticks to you if you know what I mean. So I decided to have a salad since I had Kale in the fridge.
I took simple ingredients from my fridge. Some you may not even like but the good news is that you can add and subtract what you want. The main thing that’s needed will be your olive oil and lemon juice. With those two you can do just about anything when it comes to making a dressing. Think of the flavors that you love. If I wasn’t such a huge cilantro fan this would have been some type of Asian or Chinese type of dressing. I love lobe those flavors too.
However let me quit the typing and get to the video which has your recipe. I know scan through sometimes too! Before you go don’t be a stranger. Like and subscribe to my blog. You can even find me on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube under the same name as the blog (Klohees Kitchen).
I hope you enjoy!!!
Covid turned me into the lunch lady: Quick Beef And Broccoli
I’m usually good about staying on top of my new role as “The Lunch Lady” due to Covid. However, one day I wasn’t as prepared. My 9-5 job was chaotic, fulfilling cookie others had gotten busy and my child yells out that it’s almost lunch time. She’s a virtual learner now which adds to my normal list. I had no clue on food options for lunch. I knew I had thinly sliced beef in the fridge thawing out. I looked to se what veggies I had and beef and broccoli came to mind because my child loves soy sauce.
I put this video together to show hard working parents that lunch during Covid can be quick and easy. Go with quick options that can be fulfilling yet yummy.
Watch the video fir the full recipe of step by step guide. Just don’t forget to use sesame oil to cook meat and add brown sugar to you soy sauce mix.
